Custom 4-Meter White Cherry Blossom Tree for an Event Planner in Florida
Project Overview
An event planner in Florida needed a large white cherry blossom tree for use across multiple events. The tree had to be 4 meters tall, allow guests to stand comfortably underneath, and be durable enough to be reused many times. The base also had to be stable without drilling into venue floors.
The Brief
The client had three main requirements:
- 4-meter height with walkable clearance — guests needed to stand and move underneath the canopy.
- Reusable for multiple events — the tree would be installed, dismantled, and reinstalled at different venues.
- No floor drilling — event venues typically do not allow screws or bolts into the floor.
Challenges
Two challenges shaped this project:
- Stability without floor anchoring — standard artificial trees often use a steel base that is bolted to the floor. Since event venues do not allow this, we needed a different approach.
- Reusability and transport — the tree had to be sturdy enough for repeated setup and breakdown, and easy to transport between venues.
Our Solution
Enlarged steel base: Instead of bolting the base to the floor, we increased the base size to 100cm x 100cm (larger than the standard 40cm–60cm). The larger footprint provides enough stability for a 4-meter tree without any floor drilling.
Modular design for easy assembly: The tree was built with a modular structure, allowing it to be assembled and disassembled quickly on site. This makes it practical for event planners who need to set up and break down in a short time window.
Premium materials: The trunk was hand-sculpted with realistic bark texture, and the blossoms were made from high-quality silk fabric for a natural look. UV-resistant and fire-retardant options were available for outdoor and commercial use.
Smooth delivery: The tree was packed in a wooden case and shipped by sea. The client arranged a forklift for unloading, and the installation went smoothly.
The Result
The client was very satisfied with the tree and used it across multiple events. Later, when decorating their storefront, they ordered a pair of arched bougainvillea trees in pink-purple.
